
An extended format meeting took place between Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with both delegations in attendance.
The discussions centered on strengthening the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, with a focus on key areas of cooperation. Both leaders emphasized the importance of the strong, friendly, and cooperative ties between their nations. Particular attention was given to enhancing collaboration in the fields of education and security.
According to the Georgian President’s office, the talks also addressed expanding economic cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening political, economic, and cultural ties at both bilateral and regional levels.
The Georgian delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, Georgia’s Ambassador to Türkiye Archil Kalandia, senior officials from the President’s Administration, and members of the Georgia-Türkiye Parliamentary Friendship Group: Giorgi Chkonia, Mariam Lashkhi, and Guram Macharashvili.
