
At the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Meeting, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held talks with Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Fidan thanked his Georgian counterpart for the support and assistance provided following the recent Turkish military aircraft crash.
The discussion underscored the strong strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, highlighting the depth of their bilateral cooperation. Both sides noted the active exchange of high-level and sectoral visits and emphasised the importance of convening the third session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
The ministers also reviewed current regional developments, stressing the essential roles both countries play in promoting stability and peace in the wider region. Türkiye reaffirmed its unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Talks further addressed the growing trade and economic relations between the two nations, with a focus on fully utilising their transit and transport potential within the framework of the Middle Corridor.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry added that the two countries also acknowledged their effective collaboration within international organisations.
