
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with Turkiye’s Ambassador to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay, to discuss the continued strengthening of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The discussion focused on advancing their long-standing strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation across key sectors such as trade, energy, transport, logistics, tourism, and investments. Both sides emphasized that the ongoing positive momentum is clearly reflected in growing figures for exports, imports, cargo turnover, air connectivity, and tourism flows.
Kvrivishvili and Orbay also reviewed upcoming joint projects and investment initiatives involving both government and private sector partners. The conversation included preparations for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission, the planned visit of Turkiye’s Trade Minister, and the organization of a bilateral business forum to further deepen economic cooperation.
According to the Ministry, the Ambassador congratulated Kvrivishvili on her recent appointment and expressed confidence that economic ties between the two nations would continue to strengthen under her leadership.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Economy Minister Genadi Arveladze and Givi Zedelashvili, Head of the Trade Development and International Economic Relations Department.
