
The Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and the National Office of Social Insurance of the Republic of Moldova have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to deepen collaboration in social protection and pension policy.
The agreement was signed by Giorgi Chanturia, Head of Georgia’s Social Service Agency, and Elena Tibirna, Director of Moldova’s National Office of Social Insurance, the Ministry of Health reported.
The Memorandum outlines a framework for cooperation between the two state institutions, focusing on enhancing pension legislation, advancing reforms, and promoting innovative approaches in the field of social protection. Areas of joint effort include the integration of information and communication technologies, the development of electronic services, and improved support for persons with disabilities.
A key component of the agreement also emphasizes the prevention of fraud and malpractice within social assistance systems, aiming to increase transparency and efficiency in service delivery.
