
Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Avi Dichter, Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, to discuss strengthening ties between the two countries.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry said the meeting highlighted the long-standing friendship between the Georgian and Jewish people and reaffirmed the close partnership between Georgia and Israel.
Both ministers agreed to expand cooperation in key areas such as trade, economy, tourism, and agriculture. A major focus was food security, which they recognized as a global challenge, and they explored ways to work together for mutual benefit.
They also discussed current developments in the Middle East, the security situation in the South Caucasus, and the ongoing issues in Georgia’s occupied territories. The ministers stressed the importance of peace, strong state institutions, and continued diplomatic efforts to support regional and global stability.
