
Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songhulashvili, held a meeting with the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Olivier Courteau, the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture reported.
The meeting centered on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring future cooperation opportunities across environmental and agricultural sectors.
Minister Songhulashvili emphasized the value of ongoing reforms in both areas, highlighting Georgia’s interest in drawing on France’s expertise in water resource management and disaster risk reduction.
Key topics of discussion included food security, the adoption of modern agricultural technologies, knowledge exchange, export development, irrigation system improvements, and enhancing laboratory infrastructure. The Minister also underlined the importance of implementing regulations on single-use plastics in contact with food products.
