
During his official visit to Baku, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili held a high-level meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov to further reinforce the strategic partnership between their nations.
According to the President’s press office, the two leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions on deepening collaboration across multiple sectors. They underscored the success of bilateral cooperation and coordination within regional and international multilateral platforms.
A central focus of the meeting was expanding trade and economic relations, with particular emphasis on advancing joint regional infrastructure projects. The strategic significance of the Middle Corridor—especially its role in boosting cargo transportation—was a key point of discussion.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus. President Kavelashvili also extended his appreciation to Prime Minister Asadov for Azerbaijan’s consistent support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
