
President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, emphasized the strong and growing partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan during a visit to Baku, highlighting shared ambitions for regional development.
“We have an exemplary relationship with Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev also believes we have the potential to showcase the growth our region is capable of,” Kavelashvili told reporters.
He described the bilateral relationship as a model across several key sectors, stating, “Our cooperation in economic, trade, energy, and cultural areas stands out—especially in the context of the current global political climate.”
Kavelashvili expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s warm welcome, calling the partnership “exceptional,” and added that the two sides also discussed regional matters, including Armenia.
“We’re hopeful that, in time, the value of a stable and peaceful environment in our region will be recognized by all,” he said.
