
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers reviewed cooperation over the past year, discussed ongoing projects of strategic importance, and explored opportunities to further strengthen ties between the two countries. They highlighted the positive dynamics in the exchange of high-level visits and noted progress in trade and economic cooperation.
During the conversation, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister expressed appreciation to the Georgian side for the prompt resolution of issues related to the transit of Azerbaijani oil products through Georgia to Armenia.
The ministers also discussed regional processes, emphasizing the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and Georgia’s readiness to contribute to these efforts. Both sides expressed satisfaction with their effective cooperation.
Minister Botchorishvili congratulated her Azerbaijani counterpart on the upcoming New Year and conveyed her best wishes for the continued strengthening of bilateral relations, the statement said.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released information regarding the telephone conversation between the two ministers.
