
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Austria’s Foreign Minister, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, to discuss bilateral relations, international cooperation, and regional security.
Austria reaffirmed its view of Georgia as a key partner and praised the dynamic relations between the two nations. Austria continues to support Georgia through development programs and financial assistance. The ministers acknowledged the positive trade and economic ties, with Austrian companies operating in Georgia and a mutual interest in expanding cooperation, particularly in energy, transport, and connectivity.
The discussions also covered regional security, emphasizing its impact on Georgia and neighboring countries. Austria reiterated its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, highlighting the importance of stability for regional development. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to international law and Austria’s continued support for Georgia in international forums.
Austria expressed its ongoing backing for Georgia’s European integration, and Georgia reiterated its commitment to EU accession and the fulfillment of obligations under the Association Agreement. The ministers underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue.
Minister Botchorishvili thanked Minister Meinl-Reisinger for the hospitality and extended an invitation for her to visit Georgia at a convenient time, as stated by the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
