
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, who was in Georgia as part of the Armenian President’s delegation.
Kvrivishvili underscored the importance of the parallel presidential meeting, noting that it placed strong emphasis on deepening Georgian-Armenian trade and economic ties.
“In my discussions with the Armenian Minister of Economy, we stressed how essential regional peace is for both countries to maintain sustainable and stable economic growth. We reviewed ongoing joint projects and explored new initiatives aimed at further enhancing Georgia-Armenia economic cooperation.
“Our talks focused particularly on strengthening collaboration in transport, logistics, bilateral trade, tourism, and investment,” Kvrivishvili said, adding that she is “confident” Georgia and Armenia will expand economic activity “through joint efforts and strategic partnership.”
Deputy Economy Minister Tamar Ioseliani and Georgian Railways Director General Lasha Abashidze also attended the meeting.
