
The Georgian government actively supports the banking sector’s healthy growth, with new laws boosting the capital market, open banking, and finance, doubling the capital market’s size in 2023, said Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, at the Tbilisi Finance Summit.
She highlighted Georgia’s modern legislative framework that balances investor protection with business financing. The summit, part of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum organized by the National Bank of Georgia, the Ministry, and Singapore’s GFTN, promotes regional and global financial cooperation.
Kvrivishvili praised the banking sector’s global recognition for technological innovation and emphasized topics like blockchain, AI, and investment strategies. She thanked the Global Finance and Technology Network and the National Bank of Georgia for their vital roles in advancing financial technologies and reforms.
