Transfermarkt, a website tracking market value of football players and teams worldwide, set the value for Giorgi Mamardashvili, a goalkeeper of the Georgian national team and Spanish football club Valencia, at €45 million after his performances at this year’s Euro 2024, with the figure making him the joint most expensive goalkeeper in the world.
The updated figure for Mamardashvili sees him join Diogo Costa of Portugal and FC Porto on the figure, and marks an increase of the number from the €35 million before the tournament.
The value of the Georgian national team forward Georges Mikautadze, who was among six players who ended the Championship as top scorers, has also increased to €20 million.
