Georgia’s Black Sea coastal city Batumi to be included in UNESCO world list of new creative cities

With the support of Eliso Bolkvadze, Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and as a result of working with the UNESCO representatives, the city of Batumi was included in the world list of new creative cities.
"A pearl of Georgia, Black Sea Resort Batumi has established itself as a musical city among 49 new members. The UNESCO initiative unites more than 246 cities.This list also includes the cities that use the creative side as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. The main goal of the program is to promote relations among the cities. The main direction is the development of local creative and cultural industries and cooperation between the member countries, which increases the world awareness and the rapid development of international tourism. Cities are working together to achieve a common goal," said Eliso Bolkvadze.
