The Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Gharibashvili, met with Mark Clayton, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Georgia.

The parties discussed the successful cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats within the framework of the strategic partnership and cooperation agreement between Georgia and the United Kingdom, as well as the issues related to the further strengthening of the partnership.

The important contribution of the United Kingdom to the strengthening of the government institutions and the democratic development of the country was emphasized.

The meeting also touched upon the ongoing political processes in Georgia, as well as the security issues and challenges faced by the region and the world.
