According to the indicators of the last 13 years, Georgia bought the most garlic in the pandemic year, 2020. In 2020, a record amount of garlic - 2,845.45 tons - was imported into Georgia.
In 2022, 45% of the garlic was imported into the country from China. Last year, 1,278.90 tons of garlic worth $ 777.78 thousand entered Georgia from China.
In the ranking of Georgia's top trading partners by imports, Turkey ranks 2nd, from which 533.65 tons of garlic were imported, or 19% of the total import.
