French Ambassador to Georgia, Sheraz Gasri, has shared a farewell message on social media, thanking her team and highlighting the strength of French-Georgian relations as her term comes to an end.

“Goodbye Georgia. Thank you to the French team for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contribution to the French-Georgian friendship. I am leaving with the same heavy heart as the Georgians. Long live!” Gasri wrote.

Her term as ambassador has officially concluded. In early August, French President Emmanuel Macron appointed Olivier Courteau as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia.
