France Commemorates Georgian Martyrs on National Unity Day

On the eve of National Unity Day, the French Embassy paid tribute to the Georgians who were tragically killed by the Soviet army on April 9, 1989, for their fight for freedom and independence.
“France stands unwavering in its support for the Georgian people as they continue their journey toward independence, democracy, and a future within Europe,” the Embassy declared in a post on its Facebook page.
