Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili emphasized the importance of safeguarding Georgia’s sovereignty and strategic interests, calling on international partners to respect the will of the Georgian people.
"Georgia’s strategic interests must be protected, and our partners should respect both our sovereignty and those interests," Bochorishvili stated.
The Minister commented on recent diplomatic developments following her meeting with the British Ambassador to Georgia, noting that the current state of bilateral relations “is not encouraging.”
“Georgia is committed to peace, stability, and creating the conditions for democratic development,” she said. “We want our country to grow in a stable environment.”
Bochorishvili also stressed the need for international partners to acknowledge and respect the perspectives of the Georgian public and its democratically elected government.
"When speaking about Georgia and its people, it is vital that their voice and democratic choice are respected first and foremost," she declared.
