The French, Dutch and UK company officials have visited about 20 Georgian enterprises as part of a programme that supports establishment of export market connections and is implemented by the Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports.
The agency said on Monday the three-day visit saw the buyers visit textile industry, packaging material and toy enterprises, where they were introduced to their work processes and production capacities.
Tornike Zirakishvili, the Deputy Director of Enterprise Georgia, emphasized the importance of showcasing export opportunities of Georgian companies to prospective foreign partners.
Zirakishvili added the OCO Global consulting company and the United States Agency for International Development - partners of the programme - were working closely with the Agency to help 50 local companies expand their connections and markets.
The Agency said companies participating in the programme had benefited from various services that helped them “correctly position themselves” and increase sales in international markets.
