Irakli Karkashadze, the Director of the United Airports of Georgia, met with the representatives of Kazakh airlines AIR ASTANA and FlyArystan in Georgia. At the meeting with Kamila Zhailaubaeva, the importance of the continuous increase in the passenger flow from Kazakhstan to Georgia and of direct air traffic between the two countries was emphasized. As Irakli Karkashadze said, during 2022, the share of Kazakh airlines in the Georgian market was quite large. FlyArystan, which is successfully operating at the Kutaisi International Airport, is particularly noteworthy.
Air company AIR ASTANA has been successfully operating in the Georgian market for more than 10 years. As for FlyArystan, which is a subsidiary of AIR ASTANA and is the first Kazakh low-cost airline; it started operating in the Georgian aviation market [at the Kutaisi International Airport] in 2021. Until now, FlyArystan operates 14 times a week from the Davit Agmashenebeli Kutaisi International Airport to 4 destinations: Astana, Aktau, Atyrau and Shymkent.
