First Georgian wine cellar opened in Brazil

The cellar was opened with the support of the Embassy of Georgia. The guests invited to the opening ceremony had the opportunity to get acquainted with the old Georgian tradition of putting wine in a pitcher [qvevri] and taste the pitcher wine. The visitors also enjoyed a variety of bottled wines from Georgian wine companies.

According to the Ministry, a memorial board inscribing the Georgian flag was opened in honour of the Georgian culture and traditions. Representatives of the Embassy, tourist agencies, Brazilian Sommeliers Association and journalists attended the event.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy, journalists, representatives of travel agencies, the President of the Brazilian Sommelier Association, as well as people interested in Georgia and Georgian culture.
