The Georgian National Tourism Administration announced that the Financial Times had highlighted the growing accessibility of Georgia as a travel destination, citing the launch of new direct flights from the United Kingdom.
The article, published by the British newspaper last week, reported that both easyJet and British Airways would begin services from London to Tbilisi this year. easyJet is set to commence flights to Tbilisi in April, with the airline previously operating flights only as far east as Geneva and Milan from London Luton Airport. Additionally, British Airways will resume flights from London Heathrow to Tbilisi, a route it last operated in 2013.
The Financial Times also encouraged readers to explore Georgia’s tourist attractions, including the “enchanting” capital city of Tbilisi and scenic regions such as Kazbegi and Svaneti.
