
The meeting was also attended by David Cavena, Alternate Director of the Asian Development Bank, David Cavanough and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Ekaterine Guntsadze. Speaking between the parties, the focus was on the impact of the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine on the world and the region.
The meeting reviewed the possible trends of economic development and issues of future cooperation. The Finance Minister stressed the role of the ADB in combating the global pandemic in Georgia and expressed hope that in parallel with overcoming the existing challenges, the Asian Development Bank will continue to strengthen the private sector, support Georgia's reform agenda, and finance the sectors such as energy, water supply, road infrastructure and more.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope that the partnership between Georgia and the Asian Development Bank will continue actively within the framework of the 2019-2023 cooperation strategy.
