Ferry bound for Ukraine to return to Poti Port and Ukrainian citizens on board to be accommodated in hotels free of charge

Under the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia continues to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its citizens.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy, Guram Guramishvili, on February 23, a cargo ferry bound for the Ukrainian port of Chernomorsk returned to the Poti Seaport from the high seas due to force majeure.
"The ferry has been exempted from port and other charges," the Deputy Minister said.
According to him, the citizens of Ukraine aboard were accommodated in hotels free of charge after the ferry arrived in Georgia.
