The Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili announced that the American law on FARA has been introduced, and discussions on the draft will begin next week. He emphasized that the text is an exact translation and urged anyone with concerns to address them directly to the United States, questioning the American system if they have objections.
Papuashvili noted that the draft law is publicly available, allowing anyone to review it and raise relevant questions with the U.S.
"Foreign politicians and ambassadors, both within and outside the country, have attempted to discredit the transparency law by spreading baseless conspiracies, disinformation, and false narratives. This is the American law, literally identical. If they have objections to the U.S. system, they should voice them as well," he stated.
