
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in January-April 2022, the earnings of exports of goods from Georgia (excluding undeclared exports) amounted to $ 1.587 billion, which is 32.8% more than the revenue received in the same period last year.
Reportedly, the local exports (excluding re-exports) accounted for 76.1% of the total exports. The figure rose by 37.1% year-on-year to $ 1.207 billion.
In January-April 2022, the share of the ten major countries in the total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 79.7%. The largest export partners in this regard are China (US $ 277.2 million), Russia (US $ 138.3 million) and Bulgaria (US $ 128.8 million).
According to Geostat, in January-April 2022, copper ores and concentrates are ranked 1st in the list of the top ten of local exports with $ 363.3 million. The share of this commodity group is 30.1% of the total local exports. Ferroalloys are ranked 2nd with $ 195.4 million (16.2% of the total local exports), while the third place is occupied by nitrogen fertilizers with $ 128.3 mln. (10.6 % of the total local exports).
