One of the main places in the list of the largest export goods for Georgia is occupied by copper ores and concentrates. In the first quarter of 2023, the sales rate of this product group decreased by 24.1% and amounted to $205 million 728 thousand. Accordingly, with a share of 14.1%, copper ores rank 2nd in the TOP-10 list of export goods.
During this period, the largest export goods were sent to only 3 countries. These countries are:
1. China - 56 639 tons, amounting to $103.5 million;
2. Bulgaria - 40,811 tons, amounting to $83.9 million;
3. Spain - 8 849 tons, amounting to $18.2 million.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), those companies that exported copper ores and concentrates in the first quarter of the year are as follows: JSC RMG Copper; Caucasian Metals Terminal LLC; Work Service Georgia LLC.
