Exports of fresh grapes from Georgia doubled

In the first 11 months of 2021, $ 712.27 million worth of 966.54 tons of grapes were exported from Georgia, while within the same period of 2020, $ 358.07 million worth of 458.2 tons of fresh grapes were exported.
A list of the countries where Georgia sold its product last year is given below:
Russia - 633.87 million USD, 856.76 tons
Armenia - 25.71 million USD, 9.35 tons
Ukraine - 24.54 million USD, 50.31 tons
Qatar - 20.13 million USD, 10 tons
Kazakhstan - 8.01 million USD, 40 tons
Moreover, import of fresh - the so-called table grapes - sharply increased within the same period, as well. In 11 months of 2021, 1,646 tons of grapes were imported to Georgia, while in the same period of 2020 - only 870 tons. Georgia buys the product in Armenia, Turkey and the Netherlands.
