"In recent years, foreign trade has been characterized by a growing trend. Last year we saw a record increase in exports, as well as trade turnover.
Exports increased by 31.% and amounted to $5.6 billion, and trade turnover increased by 33.% and amounted to almost $20 billion, more precisely $19.2 billion, which is also a record volume. Trade with countries engaged with free trade agreements has been increasing in recent years.
Currently, 87% of Georgia's products were exported to 45 countries with free trade regimes and one independent customs territory (Hong Kong). This is 1/3 of the world consumer market, a 2.3 billion consumer market", said Irakli Gharibashvili.
