Export volumes of Georgia's live poultry increased

The exports of live poultry from Georgia increased 3 times in 4 months of 2022, compared to the same period last year. Particularly, in January-April 2021, poultry worth of $ 568.8 thousand were exported from Georgia, in 4 months of this year, the volumes of the export amounted to $ 1.670 million.
This year, the largest number of live poultry was exported to Azerbaijan (with a revenue of $ 1.118 million). In addition, exports were made to Armenia (with a revenue of $ 535.1 thousand) and Russia (with a revenue of $ 16,800).
As the Chairman of Poultry Development Association Zura Uchumbegashvili explains, the reason for this is that the new incubator has been put into operation in Georgia, where poultry are hatched and then are exported.
