In January-July 2024, the export of precious metal ores and concentrates from Georgia increased by 227.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In particular, according to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in the 1st 7 months of the current year, precious metal ores and concentrates worth 117,243,200 US dollars were exported from Georgia, and in the same period of 2023 - worth 35,825,900 US dollars were exported.

It should be noted that in the reporting period this year, precious metal ores and concentrates rank 3rd in the top ten products in the local export and account for 7.4% of all the local exports.

As for the countries, precious metal ores were exported to 3 countries within 7 months. China leads the list, where products worth 104,342,760 USD were exported; It is followed by Bulgaria - with USD 12,305,740 and Switzerland ranks 3rd - with 594,660 USD.
