Export of hazelnuts brings $83.2 million to Georgia

From August 1, 2021 to January 16, 2022, 18.2 thousand tons of hazelnuts were exported from Georgia, the value of which amounted to $83.2 million. The respective information is disseminated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The volume of exports of hazelnuts for the reporting period increased by 3.9 thousand tons (28%) compared to the volume of exports carried out within the same period in 2020/2021, while the value of exports increased by 8.1 million dollars (11%).
TOP 10 countries importing Georgian hazelnuts are as follows:
Italy - 7,511 tons;
Germany - 3,523 tons;
Armenia - 1,265 tons;
China - 785 tons;
Spain - 500 tons;
The Czech Republic - 445 tons;
Russia - 400 tons;
Poland - 357 tons;
Lithuania - 327 tons;
France - 327 tons.
