Export volume of natural grape wine from Georgia to China decreased by 42%. As the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) reports, in January-May last year, the Georgian wine (1 479 tons) worth $5.107 million was exported to China, and in the same period of the current year, worth $2.962 million (825 tons) were exported.
As for the price, last year the export price of 1 liter of the Georgian wine to China was $3.5, and this year it has been $3.6. According to the data, the export price has increased slightly by 2.9%.
To be informed, in order to promote the growth of wine exports to the Chinese market, the products of 12 Georgian wine producing companies were presented at the exhibition entitled The 8th Eurasia Expo in the city of Ürümqi, Xinjiang province.
