
The export of Georgian products to the EU countries has reduced. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-September 2023, Georgia sold products worth 456.7 million in Europe, compared to those worth $518.4 million sold in the same period of the previous year.
The list of top-ten products that Georgia sold the most in Europe, is as follows:
Copper ores and concentrates - $261.3 million
Mineral or chemical, nitrogen fertilizers - $32.1 million
Nuts and other types of nuts - $29.9 million
Wines made from natural grapes - $21.4 million
Mineral and fresh waters - $8.6 million
Other finished products, including clothing patterns - $7.8 million
T-shirts, warm coats and other knitted goods, machine or hand knitted - $5.8 million
Fruits and other parts of plants, otherwise prepared or preserved - $5.7 million
Plywood glued, panels with wood veneer and similar materials from mixed wood - $5.5 million
Oil and other types of oil products - $4.8 million
The volume of goods exported from Georgia in January-September 2023 (without undeclared exports) amounted to 4,607.4 million US dollars, which is 12.7 percent more than the corresponding period of last year. According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), local exports (exports without re-exports) make up 47.2 percent of total exports. The mentioned indicator decreased by 22.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and equaled 2 172.7 million US dollars.
