
“During 8 months, from January to August 2022, Georgia exported fruits and nuts worth of $105.1 million, which is 9.5% more compared to the indicator recorded in the same period of the previous year,” - the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reported.
As of September 1, 2022, the fruits exported from Georgia are given below:
Nuts - during this period, the value of exports amounted to $45.2 million, which is 3.6% higher than the same figure last year. Nuts were exported to 35 countries; the EU is the main export trading partner of Georgia, where nuts worth of $33 million are delivered.
Peaches and nectarines - the export value was $28.4 million, which is 3.6% more compared to the same indicator of 2021.
Blueberries - the value of exports amounted to $8.4 million, which is 49% more compared to the figure of September 1 of the previous year.
Apples - the export value reached $5.5 million, which is 0.5% less compared to the same figure of the previous year.
