Security personnel at Chișinău International Airport identified an explosive device concealed within a toy car equipped with a remote control during the processing of postal shipments.

Local media outlets have reported that the item originated from Ukraine and was intended for transport on a flight to Tbilisi.

Officers from the Technical-Forensic and Judicial Expertise Center successfully neutralized the device.

An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the origin and intended destination of the explosive device.
