According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, this is an important decision for the tourism sector, which was the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"In total, it refers to the aid package in the amount of 40 million GEL, which is related to the write-off of property tax. This decision helped to strengthen the private sector and played a big role in the rapid recovery of tourism.
The private sector has helped the existing money for business development, restoration of the industry, implementation of new projects and, most importantly, creation of new jobs", - the Deputy Minister said.
To be informed, under the decision made by the Government of Georgia, entrepreneurs employed in the tourism sector were exempted from paying the property tax for 2021.
