EU-Georgia Association Agreement reforms important steps towards bloc’s membership - EU delegation

The European Union representation in Georgia said the reforms outlined in the country’s 2014 Association Agreement with the bloc were important steps towards the country’s final membership in the EU.
The diplomatic office said the agreement was a milestone that strengthens the bond between us as partners and extended its congratulations to the country on this special day.
The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili also marked the date early by saying the historic event had given rise to a consistent move towards the eventual integration of Georgia into the EU.
