The EU Foreign Affairs Council will also discuss the Georgia issue today, as Kęstutis Budrys, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, stated at the doorstep before the FAC taking place on 23 June 2025 in Brussels.

“A point on today’s agenda is Georgia and Lithuania’s initiative on Georgia. We are proposing six points on how to proceed with Georgia, as the humanitarian situation is deteriorating. This is the right time now to do it.

I will discuss it. We have already circulated our suggestions and our proposals, and I will discuss them with my colleagues first, starting from additional support to civil society up to revision of the visa regime that we have with Georgia,” the Lithuanian Foreign Minister said.
