
The National Tourism Administration reports that in January-September 2023, Georgia was visited 328,909 travelers from EU member states (including the United Kingdom) making 6% of the total travelers. It’s worth mentioning that the international travelers level from EU countries is 54.3% higher than the 2022 level and 14.7% lower than in January-September 2019.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in the 2nd quarter of 2023, EU countries made $ 6,826,642,500 of foreign direct investment in Georgia that is 28.6% of the total FDI ($ 23,889,553,200).
As for remittances, $ 950,730,000 were transferred from EU member states to Georgia in January-September 2023 that is 29.4% of the total remittances ($3,239,030,000).
