20 members of the crew of Geo Sky airline were on a working visit to Sudan, in particular, to the capital Khartoum, where the military confrontation began on April 14. Based on the current processes, their safe return to Georgia was an inevitable necessity for the safety of the employees.
The Geo Sky airline, with the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, carried out the Georgian citizens’ peaceful evacuation by land to the border of Egypt, where they were met by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mikheil Tigishvili. After that, they will return to their homeland safely. Employees of Mayway Airlines are also in Cairo, from where they will be brought to Georgia today.
