During his visit to Uzbekistan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists that one of Georgia’s key priorities is to enhance its role as a connecting and transit hub, with promising cooperation underway with Uzbekistan.
The Prime Minister shared that meetings were held with the chairmen of both chambers of Uzbekistan’s parliament, and discussions with the president and prime minister are scheduled for the following day.
“Our visit to Uzbekistan is highly significant for strengthening bilateral cooperation. Today, we met with the chairmen of both chambers of parliament, and tomorrow, we will hold meetings with the president and prime minister. The discussions will cover all areas of cooperation, including political and economic relations. There is considerable potential to expand economic cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and transit, which are critical for both countries. We are eager to explore these opportunities with our Uzbek partners,” Kobakhidze said.
