The Expovina international wine exhibition took place in Switzerland from October 31 to November 14, with Georgian wines presented by the Georgian Wine House (GeoHauss) across nine ships.
David Tkemaladze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency, attended the opening and highlighted the growing interest in Georgian wine in Switzerland, stressing the need for continued marketing efforts. He also discussed plans for a larger Georgian wine presentation at Expovina’s 70th anniversary in 2025 with the exhibition's Executive Director.
Kakha Chotiashvili, showcasing wines from his Chotiashvili Cellar, noted that the European market's high standards improve Georgian wine quality. Zviad Arabidze of GeoHauss emphasized that events like Expovina raise awareness and boost sales of Georgian wines. Since 2011, Georgian Wine House has worked to promote Georgian wine in Switzerland, with support from the National Wine Agency and the Georgian Embassy.
