
The newly-appointed President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso will pay an official visit to the Caucasus Region on September 12-16, during which she will arrive in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It should be noted that after being appointed as the Head of the bank in 2020, this is Odile Renaud-Basso’s first business meeting in the Caucasus.
Within the framework of the visit, the President of the Bank for Reconstruction and Development will meet with the members of the government, political leaders, diplomats, representatives of business and banking and financial institutions.
The topics that are to be discussed include: renewable energy, infrastructure development, reforms and financial sustainability.
It should be noted that since 1992, the EBRD has implemented 652 projects worth of 10.6 billion euros in the Caucasus region. As for Georgia, over the past 30 years, the EBRD has invested 5 billion euros in 270 projects here.
