Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Caspar Veldkamp says, “It is very concerning that such a backsliding is taking place in Georgia.”

In his remark at the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Veldkamp said: “You have seen the declaration by EU High Representative Ms Kallas and EU Commissioner for EU Enlargement Marta Kos and also from the Netherlands as a key member state, we fully stand behind them, we are very concerned about the developments in Georgia; also because we see that such a large part of the Georgian population is pro-European, wants to strive towards this European horizon and we want to encourage them to stand to continue that stand.”
