
“According to the data of September 1, 2022, during the last 8 months, fruits and nuts worth of $105.1 million were exported from Georgia, which is 9.5% higher indicator than the previous year’s figure,” - the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reported.
According to the data of September 1, 2022, a significant share of fruits exported from Georgia is held by the following products:
Nuts - in the mentioned period, the export value amounted to 45.2 million US dollars, which is 3.6% higher indicator than the previous year's figure. Nuts were exported to 35 countries, the leading export market is the European Union countries, where nuts worth of 33.0 million US dollars were exported.
Peaches and plums - the value of exports amounted to 28.4 million US dollars, which is 3.6% higher indicator than the previous year's figure.
Blueberry - the value of export amounted to 8.4 million US dollars, which is 49.0% higher indicator than the previous year's figure.
Apples - the value of exports amounted to 5.5 million US dollars, which is 0.5% less than the same indicator of the previous year.
