Domestic animal export from Georgia is at record level

The export of cattle from Georgia is at a record level. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-September 2023, domestic livestock exports amounted to $58,042 million, which is a 10-year high. (It should be noted that data on livestock exports are available on the GEOSTAT external trade portal since 2014).
Briefly, according to the GEOSTAT data, 17,622 tons of live cattle with a total value of $58,042 million left Georgia this year. Exports were made to only 4 countries, namely:
Iraq - $42,517 million (13,083 tons)
Azerbaijan - $14,856 million (4,228 tons)
Armenia - $348.4 thousand (217 tons)
Iran - $320.2 thousand (93.5 tons)
