In a recent Facebook address, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze emphasized the collective responsibility in addressing current events and urged citizens to recognize the potential consequences of societal conflict and division. He remarked that "confrontation and attempts to divide society can lead to the most severe outcomes."
Kaladze stressed the urgency of ending such division, pointing out that the country is facing significant challenges, and highlighted the global context of these issues. He called for unity, stating, "We must work together to confront these difficulties."
The Mayor posed a critical question: "Do we want a European future? If so, we must focus on building, not destroying."
Kaladze also mentioned the ongoing preparations for the New Year, noting that the main Christmas tree has already been erected. He concluded by sharing the slogan for the upcoming year, "City Full of Victories," which reflects the many achievements of the past year.
