According to the United Airports of Georgia, Shymkent is the fourth destination where it will be possible to get to Kazakhstan from the Kutaisi International Airport from tomorrow, twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Reportedly, the flights from Shymkent to Kutaisi were suspended in November and will resume at the end of the winter navigation season. This indicates that FlysArystan is stepping up operations at the Kutaisi Airport.
FlyArystan currently operates flights to Kutaisi from Atyrau, Aktau and the capital Nur-Sultan. In total, flights to Kazakhstan from the Kutaisi International Airport at this stage are completed 12 times a week. As a result of cooperation with the airline, the number of frequencies may increase during the summer navigation season.
The Central Asia is a completely new destination for the Kutaisi Airport and Imereti region, in general. FlyArystan started operating at the Airport in 2021 and is still operating successfully. Last year, the airline carried 67,551 passengers from Kutaisi to Kazakhstan and vice versa and performed 297 flights.
FlyArystan is the first Kazakh low-cost airline established in 2018 and is a subsidiary of AIR ASTANA. The airline operates mainly AIRBUS A320 aircraft.
